This is one of the most demanding stages on the main route — long and relentless across the central Lithuanian plain. The route passes through agricultural land, small forests and quiet villages before the spires of Kėdainiai appear on the horizon. Despite the distance, the terrain is flat, making it manageable for a fit walker with an early start.
Kėdainiai is a cultural highlight: the old town preserves a remarkable multicultural heritage from the 17th century, with a synagogue, Reformed church, and Catholic church all within walking distance. Allow time to explore before resting.
